US 395 open at county line after multi-car crash

UPDATE: August 7 at 7:00 p.m.

The crash involved at least six vehicles. A subcompact SUV was severely damaged, with its driver’s side and rear crumbled. A semi ended up in the median, while four other cars were being loaded onto tow trucks.

The highway was fully reopened after hours of cleanup.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.–UPDATE 5:16 P.M.

Traffic is moving with single-lane closures in both directions, according to the WSDOT Real Time Travel Map.

UPDATE 4:03 P.M.

One lane is open along the southbound lanes, but the northbound lanes are closed so cars can be towed, according to FCSO.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area at milepost 60, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
