CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced that US 2 near Tumwater Canyon has reopened as of Tuesday night.
The major roadway was officially opened at 5:30 p.m., following a two-month closure caused by flood damage that disrupted access between Skykomish and Leavenworth.
WSDOT expressed gratitude to the contractor and crews who worked diligently to repair the roadway, as well as the community for their patience during the closure.
