Washington State Patrol (WSP) said the crash involved a commercial vehicle and two passenger vehicles and Life Flight services have been called to the scene.
Drivers should expect an extended closure and to seek alternative routes from Nine Mile to Spokane. SR 291 should be avoided during this time.
Officials have not yet released information on the cause of the collision or the condition of those involved.
SUNCREST, Wash. – A crash on SR 291 near Swenson Road, south of Suncrest, has fully blocked the road, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Drivers in the area should expect significant delays or use alternative routes to avoid the blocked area.
There is no current estimate on when the road will reopen.
