SEATTLE, Wash. – A recent health study from the University of Washington has highlighted the benefits of using glucose monitors for patients with kidney failure.

The study found that individuals with glucose monitors often performed better than those relying on outdated methods. These monitors can detect information that conventional blood tests might miss.

The University of Washington described the findings as “alarming,” emphasizing the significance of the study. Researchers followed 420 patients who were equipped with the monitors.

The study suggests that glucose monitors could provide more detailed information, which is particularly beneficial for patients on dialysis, especially those being treated for diabetes.
