MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho set a new fundraising record during their 2025 fiscal year, raising $67.6 million. This is the fifth consecutive year they have raised at least $50 million.
The record-breaking fundraising year sits at the last year of the “Brave. Bold. Unstoppable.” fundraising campaign, which began in 2015 and raised $512.2 million. The campaign runs through December 31 of 2025.
“Six years ago, we set an aggressive goal, one that many thought was unreachable as it would result in the largest nonprofit fundraising campaign in Idaho history,” U of I President Scott Green said.
“Our Vandal Family responded, reaching the goal eight months early, and they continue to provide record support as we approach the end of the campaign this December. The result is a stronger institution that continues providing a nation-leading, quality education at a great value to our students, world-class research and the ability to strategically support Idaho industries,” he continued. “We are grateful for every donor because, together, they generate enormous positive impact and contribute to a thriving, unstoppable future.”
During the 2025 fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, individuals and organizations gave $19.3 million to student scholarships, $38.5 million to research and academic programs, $7.5 million in faculty support and $2.3 million to university facilities, labs and operations throughout the state.
Money raised during the year also funded the university’s first endowed deanship. This endowment is meant to provide long-term funding for the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences’ strategic initiatives.
Earlier in the year, University of Idaho to in order to retain funding the federal government had threatened to remove.
They also lost federal funding for their program, which provided grants to local farmers, due to cuts from the US Department of Agriculture.
