Thousands of United Airlines flights will resume their journeys on Thursday morning after a technical issue forced the company to temporarily ground thousands of planes on Wednesday night.
United attributed the disruptions to a “technology issue” in social media posts replying to concerned passengers.
According to tracking data from FlightAware, 35% of United flights on Wednesday were delayed and 7% were cancelled. As of 7:50 a.m. Thursday, those statistics have dropped to 6% and 5%, respectively.
