
SPOKANE, Wash. – Tyler Lee Ward made his first court appearance in Spokane on Wednesday, after an alleged violent encounter with police involving a stolen vehicle.
Ward is accused of ramming a stolen Subaru Crosstrek into patrol vehicles during a high-speed chase. The incident took place over the weekend, near the intersection of West Sinto Avenue and North Washington Street in Spokane.
Authorities reported that Ward showed signs of drug impairment and was found with tools used for break-ins, along with stolen property.
Ward is now facing several felony charges including possession of a stolen motor vehicle, second-degree assault and malicious mischief. His bond has been set at $25,000.
