
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Two people were injured and sent to the hospital after a crash on I-90 in the early morning hours Sunday.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash occurred at around 2:21 a.m. just past the Freya Street exit.
WSP said that the driver of a pickup truck was traveling eastbound “at a high rate of speed,” when it hit a concrete barrier along the shoulder, then crossed three lanes of traffic and crashed into the median jersey barrier.
Neither the driver nor passenger were wearing a seatbelt, according to WSP.
Both driver and passenger were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
