
KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – Two people were injured in separate incidents involving boat propellers while tubing in Kootenai County.
The first incident occurred on July 16, when a teenage girl fell off a tube on the Spokane River. As the boat turned around to retrieve her, she was struck on her leg and abdomen.
The second incident took place Saturday afternoon when an 8-year-old got caught in a boat’s propeller on Lake Coeur d’Alene in Mica Bay. The young girl suffered deep cuts to both her legs, requiring a tourniquet.
Both individuals are expected to recover from their injuries.
