
Nearly 2,000 federal agents primarily from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement are being deployed to Minnesota by President Trump, according to a new report from CBS News.
The move comes after Trump pulled National Guard troops out of Oregon, California and Illinois following setbacks in the courts.
Senior Trump officials have turned their attention to Minnesota in recent weeks, particularly its Somali community, after mounting accusations of alleged welfare fraud.
CBS News reports that a monthlong operation in the Twin Cities is the main goal of the crackdown.
