MARYLAND – A transgender employee of the National Security Agency (NSA) is suing the Trump administration, aiming to block an executive order and other policies.
Sarah O’Neill, an NSA data scientist, is challenging an “Inauguration Day executive order” that mandates the federal government to recognize only two sexes: male and female.
The lawsuit, filed in Maryland, argues that President Trump’s order violates federal civil rights law. It claims that the order declares it is the policy of the U.S. government to deny O’Neill’s very existence.
