WASHINGTON – The Washington State Department of Transportation has issued a traffic alert for those traveling west through eastern Washington as Labor Day weekend approaches.
Significant traffic delays are anticipated on I-90 westbound, near Snoqualmie Pass on Labor Day. To help ease congestion, the Vantage Bridge will remain open all weekend, though construction will resume shortly after.
For travelers using ferries across Puget Sound, it’s advised that walk-on passengers will board faster than those in vehicles.
To plan effectively, travelers can access online travel charts showing peak congestion times. Live traffic maps and alerts are also available on the DOT’s website and mobile app.
