NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – The Times of London has issued an apology for publishing an article that falsely claimed a former New York City mayor criticized current Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani ahead of the mayoral election.
The newspaper revealed it was misled by an impersonator posing as the ex-politician Bill de Blasio.
In a statement, The Times of London announced it would redact the misleading story.
