Press release from Bloomsday Run organizers
Spokane, WA — January 1, 2026 — Registration is now open for the 50th running of the Bloomsday Run, Spokane’s favorite road race, set for Sunday, May 3, 2026. To honor this milestone, Bloomsday is pursuing 50,000 participants. ‘It’s a huge goal, but we know the people of the Inland Northwest are not to be underestimated,’ said Bethany Lueck, Director of Sponsorship and Communications. ‘Bloomsday had over 60,000 participants in 1996, so we know it’s possible, and we hope this year brings even more competition and community gathering.’
Bloomsday is offering an Early Registration Giveaway presented by ASICS™. Anyone who registers between January 1 and February 15 will be automatically entered to win one of five pairs of ASICS shoes, with winners selected at random.
Bloomsday is also proud to announce the Riverside State Park Foundation as its 2026 Charity of Choice. Many participants train on the trails of Riverside State Park, logging miles and building strength for race day. For nearly 25 years, the Foundation has supported the trails, park improvements, and outdoor programs that make those experiences possible. Optional donations during registration help sustain the park for future generations.
This year, Bloomsday registration has moved to the Race Roster platform, previous Bloomsday logins will not carry over, so returning participants are encouraged to create a new Race Roster account for the smoothest experience. Registration is also available without creating an account, but having one allows easier management of race details and future entries.
