MINNESOTA – The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) announced Sunday night that the suspect connected to the deadly attacks on two Minnesota state legislators and their families has been caught.

“The face of evil. After relentless and determined police work, the killer is now in custody. Thanks to the dedication of multiple agencies working together along with support from the community, justice is one step closer,” the RCSO stated.

Vance Boelter, 57, reportedly posed as a police officer before he shot and killed Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband in their home in Brooklyn Park. Boelter is suspected of carrying out a second shooting on Senator John Hoffman and his wife, who survived the incident and were taken to the hospital shortly after authorities arrived on the scene.

Further details on the circumstances of the arrest have not yet been disclosed. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to work on ensuring justice for the victims and their families.
