Terrain Gallery hosts annual fundraiser with local artwork this Friday

SPOKANE — Art enthusiasts looking for original pieces can find them this Friday when Terrain Gallery hosts its annual fundraiser featuring donated artwork from local artists.

The event takes place at Terrain Gallery on Monroe Street starting at 6 p.m., with each piece of art priced at $200. The fixed pricing offers buyers access to artwork that typically sells for significantly more at regular market rates.

Local artists donate their work specifically for this fundraiser, creating an opportunity for the community to purchase original art while supporting the nonprofit organization. The event showcases artists from diverse backgrounds who contribute to Spokane’s creative community.

“Art shows like this attracts tourists and helps boost our art economy in town,” said Dr. Gatieh Nacario, one of the artists who donated work for the event.

All proceeds from the sale return directly to Terrain Gallery, which serves as a critical resource for the local arts community. The gallery provides professional exhibition space for artists from various backgrounds to display and sell their work throughout the year.

Organizers recommend arriving early, as the event typically draws large crowds. Lines often form for several blocks along Monroe Street, and approximately 75 percent of the artwork sells within the first 30 minutes of the event.

The fundraiser represents both an opportunity for art collectors to acquire pieces at accessible prices and a way for the community to directly support local artists and the gallery that showcases their work year-round.
