This year, Sweethearts Conversation Hearts, a popular Valentine’s Day candy, is introducing new phrases that capture the impact of inflation and high living costs on romance.
The new sayings include “SPLIT RENT,” “SHARE LOG-IN,” “CAR POOL,” “BUY N BULK” and “COOK FOR 2.” Despite these modern additions, classic phrases like “CUTIE PIE” and “MARRY ME” will still be featured in the Sweethearts boxes.
A recent Sweethearts survey of 2,000 people revealed that 80% feel the economy is affecting their Valentine’s Day plans.
