SWAT team catches suspects in early morning Pullman assault

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Pullman Police Department (PPD) responded to an assault this morning at 5 a.m. According to PPD, a woman reported that she and her boyfriend were attacked by her former partner and another person on NE Maple Street.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Medics from the Pullman Fire Department treated the victims’ injuries.

Officers located the suspects on NW Robert Street. Due to the violent nature of the crimes and the suspects’ known possession of firearms, the Whitman County SWAT Team was called to assist. Both suspects were caught without incident.

One 23-year-old, from LaCrosse, was booked into Whitman County Jail. He faces the following charges:

Burglary 1st Degree Domestic Violence.Assault 2nd Degree Domestic Violence.Assault 2nd Degree.Assault 4th Degree Domestic Violence.Malicious Mischief 3rd Degree.Animal Cruelty 2nd Degree.

One 27-year-old, from Saint John, was also booked into Whitman County Jail. His charges include:

Burglary 1st Degree.Assault 4th Degree.

The case is still under active investigation.
