SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – A suspect was arrested and a large amount of stolen property recovered after multiple construction site burglaries across the county, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
The investigation began in December 2025 after reports of stolen tools, building materials, appliances and electronics from various sites. Detectives from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit (SCIU) identified the suspect through social media posts attempting to sell items matching those reported stolen.
Search warrants were executed at a home near East 1st Street and South Napa Street, where detectives recovered a significant amount of stolen property, two vehicles registered to the suspect which matched the vehicles used in some of the burglaries, as well as approximately $2,500 in cash.
Though the suspect was not initially at the location, they were arrested on December 23, 2025, and booked into the Spokane County jail for multiple felony and misdemeanor charges including possession of stolen property and trafficking in stolen property, in addition to unrelated arrest warrants.
Following the suspect’s arrest, SCIU detectives continued their investigation and executed a search warrant at an additional location, where they recovered more suspected stolen property.
In total, detectives have recovered more than $17,000 in stolen property during the investigation, and SCSO noted that much of it has been returned to the victims.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time, with SCIU considering additional charges and arrests.
