Sunday solidified that this year’s Super Bowl matchup would be between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots on February 8—but some fans online pointed out details in a social media graphic posted by the NFL at the beginning of the season, suggesting the outcome was rigged.
The graphic appears to show all the NFL quarterbacks standing outside of Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, where the Super Bowl LX will be held, and a massive trophy. In the distance, the closest to the trophy appears to be the starting quarterbacks for the Seahawks and Patriots: Sam Darnold and Drake Maye.
Some online users have suggested the graphic indicates the outcome of the NFC and AFC championships were rigged by the NFL, while others expressed belief in mere coincidence.
