SPOKANE, Wash. – Starting Monday, more than 40 locations across Spokane will offer summer meals for children. Spokane Public Schools confirmed that all children aged 18 or younger are eligible for the program, with no registration or fees required.
Parents are encouraged to attend and bring their own lunch, though they are not allowed to eat any of the children’s meals.
The summer meal program, funded federally, aims to ensure children have access to nutritious meals throughout the year, even when school is out, according to Spokane Public Schools.
