SPOKANE, Wash. – Students at the Community School in Spokane have been working on an exciting project for nearly two months.
Partnering with Mobius Discovery Center, these students are creating exhibits that could potentially be implemented at the center.
The students have progressed from learning basic physics concepts to putting together plans to pitch to Mobius staff. Now, they have moved on to developing prototypes.
One student, Hazel, a junior at the Community School, explained their team’s focus.
“We are trying to teach kids about magnetic forces, and we wanted to do that in a really fun and engaging way. So we made a racetrack. Because who doesn’t like to race and competition with your friends while learning science aspects and concepts,” said Hazel.
Next week, their creations will face a real test with assistance from the Montessori School.
