SPOKANE, Wash. — More than 3,000 fans are headed to River Park Square’s AMC over New Year’s eve and New Year’s day to watch the last two episodes of Stranger Things live on the big screen.
The first showing started at 5pm, with showings running every 15 minutes throughout New Year’s Eve. Showings kick back up again on New Year’s day at 9 a.m.
Fans waited in line for an hour before getting into the venue, with one super fan Angel Tesh telling Non Stop Local that the character development is one reason that fans flock to the show.
“You get attached to the characters, they don’t hide from the hard topics,” Tesh said.
The first episode of Stranger Things premiered in 2016, and many of the fans at AMC said they have been watching from the beginning.
