State Route 243 South in Grant County back open following closure for wildfire

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Update, 4:22 p.m. on May 17: The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says State Route 243 South is back open following a closure for a wildfire.

State Route 243 South is closed about 10 miles south of Mattawa due to a wildfire.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the closure is in effect between Road L-SW and Road O-SW.
