SPOKANE, Wash. — Olympic figure skaters who helped make the 2026 U.S. Winter Olympic team one of the most decorated in history will showcase their talents at Spokane Arena.
The Stars on Ice tour features several standout athletes from the Milan Olympics, including gold medalist and world champion Alysa Liu, three-time world champion Ilia Malinin, known as the “Quad God,” and ice dancing duo who competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics, Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko.
For the Olympic athletes, the tour offers a different experience than competition skating. The performers can focus on artistry and entertainment without the intense pressure they faced during the Olympics.
“To go out there and have no stress and to just perform to the best of our ability and just to have fun is something unlocked,” said Anthony Ponomarenko.
His skating partner, Christina Carreira, echoed that sentiment, explaining how the tour atmosphere differs from competition.
“It is really exciting to be able to go out there in front of a big crowd and not feel the pressure we normally feel in competition. It is way more relaxed, and I feel like we are able to be more ourselves,” Carreira said.
The ice dancing pair has been skating together since 2014, forming a long-standing partnership known as one of the most consistent teams in U.S. ice dancing. This marks their first time touring with Stars on Ice.
“We have been having so much fun,” Carreira said. “We get to train together, live together on the bus, and we are just having a blast.”
The tour, now six weeks into its run, allows the Olympic athletes to connect with fans across the United States while showcasing their skills alongside other talented performers. Ponomarenko emphasized the collaborative nature of the show.
“The full cast has something unique to show, and then the group numbers. It’s something that brings it all together, so people should expect a really fun show and a very entertaining one,” he said.
Stars on Ice began in the late 1980s and has performed more than 1,500 shows over the past three decades. The tour continues to draw audiences eager to see world-class figure skating in an entertainment format.
The Spokane performance takes place at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $32 and can be found through the Stars on Ice website or TicketsWest.
