
UPDATE: October 21 at 8:55 p.m.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a southbound pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a northbound mid-size sedan head-on.
Both vehicles came to rest on the northbound shoulder.
The driver of the pickup was injured and transported to Chelan Medical.
The driver of the sedan, 42-year-old Macaria Ambrizespino from Bridgeport, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.

One person was killed in the crash. Traffic is being diverted onto SR 150 to 97A around the incident.
CHELAN, Wash. – US 97 is currently closed between Beebe Bridge and Hugo Road, approximately three miles east of Chelan, due to a two-car head-on crash near the SR 150 junction.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has set up a detour for drivers in the area. There is currently no estimated time for reopening the road.
The public is urged to avoid the area as emergency crews respond to the incident.
