SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Nordic Ski Association hosted its annual Winterfest at Mount Spokane, offering a full day of skiing lessons and activities for all ages and skill levels.
Participants had the opportunity to join 45-minute ski lessons in both classic and skate techniques.
Trevor Finchamp, Events Director for the Spokane Nordic Ski Association, shared his thoughts on the event.
“It really is a warm welcoming community up here and that’s what Winterfest is all about. It’s about introducing all these new people to the community and helping you grow,” said Finchamp.
The event also showcased adaptive skiing demonstrations, a layering clinic and snowshoeing education led by the Washington Trails Association.
