SPOKANE, Wash. – A second “No Kings” rally has been scheduled for this Saturday, organized by Spokane Indivisible, aiming to promote political and social unity. The event will commence at 1 p.m. on the west side of B.A. Clark Park.

The rally has garnered support from several groups, including the Spokane Regional Labor Council, Veterans for Peace and Jewish Voice for Peace.

Sami Perry, a member of the Spokane Indivisible Steering Committee, shared the motivations behind the protest, claiming that it was organized “because of the government shutdown and also because the direction of this country is moving into a tyranny and a dictatorship in We the people can stop it.”

Organizers have emphasized the importance of peaceful protest throughout and after the event.
