Spokane’s Anne McClain to be relieved by SpaceX Crew 11 at ISS

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – The next mission to the International Space Station (ISS) was set to launch today. SpaceX Crew 11 is bringing four astronauts to relieve the current crew, which includes Spokane’s Anne McClain.

The Crew 11 mission is commanded by NASA astronaut and geobiologist Zena Cardman. Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Mike Fink is piloting the mission. Joining them are Mission Specialists Kimiya Yui from Japan and Oleg Platonov of Russia.

The four astronauts are expected to dock with the ISS around midnight on Saturday. Following their arrival, the four members of SpaceX Crew 10 will return to Earth. Their splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off California’s coast is anticipated no later than August 5.
