SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane native and NASA astronaut Anne McClain has safely returned to Earth after spending more than four months aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
McClain and her Crew-10 teammates splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off San Diego, wrapping up a 148-day mission. During their time on the ISS, the team conducted research and maintenance, even engaging in a live chat with students at McClain’s alma mater, Gonzaga Prep, which was televised.
This mission marked McClain’s second spaceflight, bringing her total time spent in space to 352 days. She may continue to add to her experience as part of NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon.
