A Spokane woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at a Clarkston motel.
According to court records, Phyllis K. Krogman, 65, was taken into custody on July 14 at the Asotin County Court House on a charge of conspiracy to commit attempted murder.
Investigators said Phyllis Krogman conspired with her husband, Thomas Krogman, who is accused of stabbing Daniel Henry, Phyllis’ brother, on June 2, 2025.
The incident occurred at the Motel 6 where Daniel was living and working. Thomas reportedly drove 13 hours from Gillette, Wyoming, to commit the crime, court records said.
Authorities believe Phyllis played a role in orchestrating the attack by placing a phone call and gathering information about Daniel’s whereabouts under the guise of planning a visit.
Court records also said that Phyllis discussed past family issues during the call, specifically mentioning allegations of molestation involving Daniel. Daniel and his sister Vicki expressed their belief that Phyllis encouraged Thomas to harm Daniel, police said.
Thomas’ jail phone calls, which are recorded, revealed a call between Thomas and Phyllis on July 13, 2025, investigators said. In this call, Phyllis expressed anger and a desire for Daniel to “pay the price” for past actions against family members, according to court records.
Following Thomas’ bond hearing on July 14, 2025, Phyllis was arrested. She was informed of her rights and expressed a desire to speak with a lawyer before answering questions, court records added.
