SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A Spokane Valley man was sentenced to 30 days in jail Tuesday after a jury found him guilty of assaulting a woman and exposing himself to her at a local trailhead.
Jablon Ebot received the sentence in Spokane County District Court for 4th Degree Assault with Sexual Motivation and Indecent Exposure. A jury convicted him on both counts last month.
The incident occurred in March 2024 at a trailhead on Mirabeau Parkway.
Court documents show Ebot made inappropriate comments about the woman’s body, grabbed her buttocks despite her refusal, then exposed himself and taunted her.
The victim got back into her car, called 911 and photographed Ebot’s license plate as he drove away. A Spokane Valley Sheriff’s deputy used the license plate information to quickly locate and arrest him.
During Tuesday’s sentencing, prosecutors requested 45 days in jail citing community safety concerns. Judge Aimee Maurer sentenced Ebot to 30 days in jail with 24 months of probation and ordered him to undergo a sexual offender evaluation and enter any recommended treatment.
