SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a report of a fight on December 17, 2025, near the intersection of E. Augusta Avenue and N. Glenn Road. An investigation led to the arrest of 54-year-old man, who had an active felony warrant.
Deputies found the man intoxicated and noted injuries suggesting a fight. A check revealed a warrant for trafficking in stolen property. Attempts to separate him from another involved male led to the 54-year-old pushing a deputy.
His behavior escalated, leading to a physical struggle. He attempted to grab a deputy’s throat, prompting an emergency response from additional deputies. The man was eventually restrained and handcuffed.
After being medically cleared, he was booked into Spokane County Jail on his existing warrant and two new felony charges of assaulting law enforcement. Deputies sustained only minor injuries.
