
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A 27-year-old man was in court Tuesday morning. pleading not guilty to charges related to the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl in foster care.
Preston Meyskens, an employee at a group home in Spokane Valley, is facing five counts of child rape.
Court documents revealed that the incidents were reported in late April of this year. Meyskens’ trial has been scheduled for August 11.
The case is drawing attention to the responsibilities of group home employees and the importance of maintaining a safe environment for children in foster care.
