According to Battalion Chief Chris Cornelius, crews responding to the fire saw a column of smoke from Glass Co. Auto Glass in the 130 block of S Howe Rd.
The fire has been extinguished but not before the business sustained significant damage.
The firefighting efforts were a collaboration between the City of Spokane Fire and Spokane Valley Fire departments, Cornelius said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Multiple Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) crews are on the scene of a structure fire in the 100 block of S. Howe Rd.
Residents are advised to avoid the area to ensure firefighters have ample space to perform their duties safely.
