Spokane Valley apartment building catches fire, prompting evacuations

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A fire broke out in a Spokane Valley apartment building on Applewood Boulevard and Park Road on Monday morning, forcing residents to evacuate.

According to firefighters, the fire initially began in the attic of one of the units. Crews were dispatched at around 5:45 a.m. and were able to prevent flames from spreading.

All occupants inside all four apartment units had to evacuate.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still being determined.
