SPOKANE, Wash. – Construction projects in Spokane are set to impact traffic over the next two weeks, with significant lane reductions and closures.
On North Ash St. between Indiana Ave. and Maxwell Ave., southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from Monday, Sept. 22 through Wednesday, Sept. 24. This is due to the Maxwell Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Safety Upgrades project, which has postponed city storm water system work, the city said in a release.
Drivers should expect congestion on eastbound Northwest Blvd. and southbound Ash St. Pedestrians may face sidewalk detours, but local access will be maintained.
Additionally, the Francis and Assembly Water Project resumes, installing a new water transmission main. Expect lane reductions on Nine Mile Rd./Hwy 291/Francis Ave. between Royal Dr. and Rifle Club Rd. beginning Sept. 22.
Specific closures include:
– Sept. 22: N. Royal Dr. between Francis Ave./Hwy 291 and Houston Ave.
– Sept. 24: Lyons Ave. between Hartley St. and Nine Mile Rd./Hwy 291
– Sept. 30: W. Woodside Ave. between Francis Ave./Hwy 291 and N. Victor St./N. Old Fort Dr.
– Oct. 2: Rifle Club Rd. between Francis Ave./Hwy 291 and N. Old Fort Dr.
