Spokane ‘Tourism and Cultural Investment’ grants submission period begins

SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane is accepting applicants for the Spokane Tourism and Cultural Investment grants. These grants are available to organizations that “enhance Spokane’s tourism and cultural scene.”

Funding for the program comes from lodging taxes paid from nights at hotels as described in state law RCW 67.28.1817.

The maximum individual grant allowed is $10,000 per organization.

City of Spokane will host a workshop to provide technical assistance on September 17 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. that will be available virtually and in-person at the Central Library, event room B.

Applications for grants are due by Friday, October 10 at 5 p.m.

The city said that funding will be awarded through a public process involving submission, review and evaluation. Eligibility and competitiveness guidelines can be found at the City of Spokane’s online portal.
