SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane City Council is set to host Community Days on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Chase Gallery, Lower Level, City Hall, to honor veterans.

Council Member Kitty Klitzke emphasized the importance of supporting veterans beyond Veterans Day.

“This Community Day event is to honor the brave men and women who served our country with courage and sacrifice,” Klitzke said. “While Veterans Day is a time for gratitude, let’s support veterans every day of the year.”

The following day, Tuesday, November 11, the annual Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at Numerica Veterans Arena from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This event is hosted by the WA State Fallen Heroes Project.

Attendees can expect a heartfelt tribute featuring speakers and live music, followed by coffee, cookies and a special gift for veterans. Parking will be free in Lot B from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
