SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Public Schools partnered with the city of Spokane for an engaging workshop focused on architecture.
This initiative was part of the Smart Growth America Community Connectors Program, involving students from Francis Scott Elementary.
As part of the workshop, city planners collaborated with fifth graders, using tools such as Minecraft, Legos, and an architecture program to creatively reimagine the schoolyard and its surrounding area.
The aim was to encourage students to think about how they want the space to embody different qualities such as being “astounding,” “amazing,” or “fun.”
