SPOKANE, Wash. – Second graders at Spokane International Academy are making a difference with a unique community service project. The students are coming together to donate food to nearby charities.
The young students found creative ways to gather donations. They made videos, set up lemonade stands, and even ice cream stands to encourage friends and family to contribute full boxes of cereal.
To add a fun twist, the second graders used the cereal boxes to build a train before donating them to a local charity.
These efforts show how the students are turning a charitable act into a fun and rewarding experience for the community.
