Spokane protestors appear in court after ICE demonstration

SPOKANE, Wash. – Two protesters, Justin Forrall and Erin Lang, recently appeared in court following their arrest during a demonstration in downtown Spokane. Both are facing seven counts of unlawful detainment.

Court documents revealed that Forrall and Lang slashed the tires of a vehicle that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was using to transport two Venezuelan men.

The state requested that bond be set at $2,500. However, Forrall and Lang did not have to pay the amount. Their defense attorney argued that their lack of a criminal record should be considered.

A condition of their release is that they must stay away from the ICE facility in Spokane.

Forrall and Lang are scheduled to be arraigned on June 25.
