SPOKANE, Wash. – As Pride Month begins in the Inland Northwest and around the world, Spokane residents have the opportunity to engage with the LGBTQ+ community through the Spokane Pride History and Remembrance Project.
This month-long exhibit is currently on display at the Spokane Public Library in downtown Spokane. It highlights LGBTQ+ history with a timeline dating back to the 1800s.
Spokane Pride initiated the exhibit last year, and organizers have included a variety of items on display.
The exhibit’s opening comes just six days before “Pride in the Park” in Spokane and 13 days ahead of Spokane’s Pride Parade and Festival.
