
SPOKANE, Wash. – An arrest has been made in connection with a fire at the Spokane Police Department’s Downtown Precinct, police said in a release.
Investigators said the incident began at 6:20 a.m. when the precinct’s fire alarm was triggered.
Officers discovered smoke in the basement, which was traced back to a bin full of combustible materials on fire in an alley. The Spokane Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames.
Officers reviewed security footage and identified a person of interest.
The 28-year-old was located nearby and arrested for first-degree arson. He was booked into Spokane County Jail.
