
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Ombuds Commission is holding a special meeting to discuss planning and training initiatives. The Civilian Commission, established in 2013, provides independent oversight of police department conduct.
Recently, Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown and Police Chief Kevin Hall requested the Ombuds Commission to review police actions during the immigration protests on June 11.
The special meeting will focus on planning and training. It is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the South Hill Public Library. The meeting is open to the public, offering an opportunity for community members to participate in the discussion.
