Spokane police arrest two after drive-by shooting, suspect had multiple warrants

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane police arrested two suspects involved in a drive-by shooting early Saturday morning, including one man wanted on multiple warrants.

According to the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired near Liberty Avenue and Haven Street around 5:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire.

Police said the two suspects fled the scene on foot. Officers later located them in an alley near Lincoln Street and Mansfield Avenue. One of the suspects, identified as 32-year-old Zachary Gring, attempted to run but was taken into custody. Authorities said Gring had multiple outstanding warrants.

The second suspect was also arrested. No injuries were reported, and officers recovered a firearm believed to be connected to the shooting.

SWAT officers assisted in the search and arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
