SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police Department officers arrested a man on a burglary charge and are still searching for at least one more suspect involved in the incident.
According to police, the arrest took place after officers responded to a burglary call where a passerby reported witnessing someone kicking in a door. Upon arrival, officers cleared the scene with the help of a K9 unit and collaborated with store staff to review security footage.
The scene showed broken glass shattered across the ground, evidence of the forced entry. Shortly after reviewing the footage, officers said that they left the scene but quickly returned without sirens to the corner of 8th and Lindeke, where they detained and ultimately arrested one suspect.
Store staff said that another man appeared on the security video, and police are actively working to locate this suspect. Spokane Police Department continues to investigate the incident and pursue the additional suspect.
