
SPOKANE, Wash. – A passenger was arrested after causing a single-vehicle crash on E. Farwell Road near N. Meadowlark Street.
On October 29 at around 8:00 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the crash in the 3400 block of E. Farwell Road. Deputies learned that the incident involved two women victims and a passenger, identified as 47-year-old Mark L. Williams.
An argument between Williams and the driver escalated when Williams threw food at the driver. Williams then grabbed the steering wheel causing the car to veer off the road, strike a street sign and crash into a fence. The vehicle lost a lot of engine oil causing major damage to the engine.
Fortunately, the two women victims were not hurt.
Deputies developed probable cause to charge Williams with felony and misdemeanor offenses. He was medically evaluated at the scene and later cleared at a hospital.
Williams was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree (DV) as well as misdemeanor charges of Assault 4th Degree (DV), Reckless Endangerment (DV), and Reckless Endangerment (non-DV).
