SPOKANE, Wash. – Caleb R. McKee, 49, was sentenced in Spokane Superior Court to 23 years to life in prison in for repeatedly raping and molesting a female victim from her childhood into her early teenage years, Spokane County (SCSO) said in a release.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assault Unit began its investigation in 2019 when the victim reported the abuse to her high school counselor.
The Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office charged McKee with eight counts, including second-degree rape, first-degree rape of a child and child molestation.
Deputy Prosecutor Stephanie Richards presented evidence during a nearly three-week trial, leading to McKee’s conviction on all counts. The jury found aggravating circumstances warranted six special verdicts.
