Spokane man identified among victims in deadly plane crash near Lincoln, Montana

LINCOLN, Mont. — A Spokane man was among those identified in a deadly plane crash near Lincoln Airport in Montana.

According to a Facebook post from Nadine Lynn Arrotta, who identified herself as the wife of Dan Arrotta, he died in the crash that occurred Friday night.

She said in the post that Arrotta had been traveling to the area for a hunting trip.

Arrotta was the owner of Arrotta’s Automax and RV, as well as Arrotta’s Mitsubishi in Spokane.

The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.

The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal plane crash that happened near the Lincoln Airport on October 24, 2025.

The office is working with Montana Aeronautics and the National Transportation Safety board to investigate. The Federal Aviation Association is also conducting an investigation.

The number of people on board is still being determined, but Sheriff Leo Dutton said that it does not appear that anyone on board survived the crash.
